Building an Army for God
When you talk about Spiritual Warfare, there are lots of strong opinions. Different people view it differently. Spiritual issues in general aren’t all that well understood. Why should be obvious – we’re not spiritual beings. At least not completely. In fact, it’s so separated from our physical world that the majority of people can dismiss it perfectly reasonably without a second thought.
With this site I set out to do a few things. First, I come at it with no agenda. I’ve never deeply studied or invested in a particular person or denomination’s philosophy on the subject. Some I find fascinating. Some I find strange. Others might border on dangerous.
But the whole topic’s dangerous. In writing this, in building this site, in this work in general, I’ve encountered a certain amount of resistance. I know that if I come at this in a complete and truthful way and shine a light on what’s really happening in the spiritual realm, there’s going to be resistance.
Second, I’m prepared to be wrong. I welcome your input. Honest questions and suggestions are welcome. Deep dives into the real nature of the subjects we’re exploring is why I’m doing this. This might not be the place for you if you think you know it all already, and while I’m sure that there are some out there that certainly know a great deal more than I do, forcing your opinions and philosophies or being judgmental about others’ isn’t welcome.
Third, I want to focus on the things that are applicable, knowable, and actionable. I’m a storyteller at heart, and that means that I want to be able to express the things that you see here in stories, characters, and settings. And I want those stories, characters, and settings to portray something that’s true.
As a storyteller, I want to create stories that make the audience think deeply about the spiritual world. I want to make them wonder if what I’ve set out might just be true. I want to create stories that reflect the spiritual nature of the world and bring it to light in the natural world.
Lastly, I want people to come away from this site and my stories different from when they came in. I’m not interested in changing opinions, but I do want to instill a sense of Wonder. I want people to leave thinking, “Could it be that…?” I want them asking that question all the time because I think it’s in the questioning that we discover the truth of the spiritual world and see it more clearly.
It’s only when you can see the world that you can engage in the battle that’s happening all around.
Let’s build each other up and create a mighty army for God.
